Steam store page is almost ready for launch!
Game marketing was a lot harder than I thought - I hadn’t realized how much preparation went into the marketing piece.
But everything’s almost done.
Since the last time I posted:
Commissioned an artist off to develop my art
Finalized the game trailer
Reached out to reddit communities to get their feedback on my game
Iterated on the store steam page and marketing pieces (e.g., posts, this website’s home page, etc.)
Added on screenshots for the navigation mini game.
The demo might actually be delayed, since it does seem like I might need to add in the navigation piece before releasing it. If that’s the case, I’ll be withdrawing from Steam’s Next Fest.
To my understanding, it’s better to build up enthusiasm for the game first before dropping the demo. It’s a bit tricky for me, since my savings are starting to dry up.
Thanks for sticking with this blog - hoping things work out, but even if they don’t, I’m glad I did this, regardless of what happens.
